Today the European Parliament has adopted the draft regulation laying down the obligations of operators who place timber and timber products on the market.

The draft text, on which a compromise has been reached with European Commission and Council, has been adopted with an overwhelming majority of 644 votes in favour, 25 against and 16 abstentions. As soon as the official text of the Parliament is available, it will be circulated.
