More than half (61 per cent) of the paper mills in Sweden have a production capacity of more than 100,000 tonnes a year. In the EU 28 per cent of the mills have this capacity.
In the EU, 23 per cent of the paper mills have a production capacity of less than 10,000 tonnes. Most of the mills with a production capacity of more than 300,000 tonnes are in Sweden, Finland and Germany.
