The Swedish Forest Industries Federation strengthens the competitiveness of member firms and promotes the increased use of wood-based products.
The Swedish wood programme focuses on both professionals, in every aspect of the building and property industry, and on the public. The wood programme aims to influence attitudes toward wood and the woodworking industries and to increase knowledge of building with wood through initiatives such as building descriptions, the magazine "Träinformation" and the architecture prize "Träpriset".
The international wood programme promotes wood as a material from countries that work to achieve sustainable forest development. Projects are carried out in markets and industries of particular interest to Swedish member companies, such as in the UK, France and Asia.
In order to monitor economic policy issues in forestry and construction on the European level, the Forest Industries Federations also cooperates with the European organisation CEI-Bois.
