Mistra Digital Forest is a research program aimed at promoting sustainable development in forestry through digitalisation. The program develops methods, models, and digital tools to create a digital forestry value chain and promote a circular bioeconomy. The program has a total budget of SEK 224 million for the period 2019-2027.
Participating organisations in the program include the Swedish Forest Industries Federation, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Umeå University, IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, Skogforsk – the Forestry Research Institute of Sweden, Billerud, Holmen, Kopparfors Skogar, SCA, Stora Enso, Sveaskog, and Södra.
